I only now went into Plaid Pony after a long time away. I wanted to do a post about it on my new FB page 2000Bohemians. I adored Lara’s taste and spirit, though I never knew her in person. So I only now found out, and find myself terribly sad. I’m so terribly sorry for your loss, but happy for you that you got to know her and be her friend. Thank you for writing this post.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Your post really breaks my heart. I was a big fan of Plaid Pony and his brother too. Truly a huge loss. Rest in peace for them.

Hi Megan,
I am soooo super sorry for your loss. I discovered Lara was ill a few months back when I was shopping for a new dress & saw the message on the Plaid Pony site. I was a huge PP fan. As a matter fact, Lara sold me my very favorite little black dress.
I just wanted to say…your post has truly touched me.
Her poor parents. I can’t even fathom having to bury one child, much less two.
My heart goes out to the family & friends of Lara, as well as her brother.

Megan and the Art Star family,
I am so sorry that you lost your amazing friend, Laura. I am a huge Plaid Pony fan, so I’m sad and shocked to hear this news, but mostly I just want to express my condolences to you all. Truly a huge loss to anyone who knew Laura or loved her kicky shop.
