BIOGRAPHY
Ryan
Myers, 29, received his BFA in illustration from Hartford Art School
in 2000. His paintings and custom vinyl toys have been exhibited
all across the US. His current body of work reflects an interruptive
view into a sullen, mannequinesque world where sadness is masked
in pinks, greens and blues. He lives and works in Hudson Valley,
New York with his family, dog and a spiteful lovebird.
In Occupational
Hazards, the artist points his paint-laden brush towards
the work place. Hunters, gatherers, veterinarians and more, no
one is safe from the inevitable. His familiar cast of boys and
girls explore the woes of labor in a place where the shadows are
just as long as the faces.
